Job Summary
The Olivier Award nominated courtroom production of Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution is looking for an experienced Assistant Stage Manager (Book Cover) to join the stage management team
Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To be responsible for the running of shows with the rest of the stage management team, including the pre-show set-up and scene changes.
To work closely with the technical and creative teams to run rehearsals, either during recast periods or for understudy rehearsals during the run.
To oversee maintenance of props and furniture on the production, alongside the rest of the stage management team and the Production Manager.
To cover for the Deputy Stage Manager in the rehearsal room as necessary.
To be ‘on the book’ and call the production on a regular basis.
To make petty cash purchases as required and account for expenditure.
To ensure that all relevant paper work and documentation is correctly written up, amended and distributed as required.
To carry out all other duties normally associated with the role of an Assistant Stage Manager (Book Cover) on a first-class play.
Job Requirements
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
An experienced Assistant Stage Manager who has experience on a similar scale of production.
Previous book cover or Deputy Stage Manager experience.
Candidates who can be flexible and work well as part of a team.
Solution-focused candidates who work calmly under pressure.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation.
