Read up on issues and news relevant to stage management and advice and reviews in our newsletter Cueline or on our website members’ area. The SMA also produces a roundup email, Agenda every  second Tuesday which contains  the SMA Diary of events and training, plus information, news  and updates of interest to all stage management . Available FREE to all our members.

Meet fellow stage managers and share your experiences at our regular member events including exclusive backstage tours and seminars.

Practical advice

The SMA was formed by stage managers for stage managers. We know the problems you may encounter and can offer advice or simply someone to talk to. If we don’t know the answer, we know a member who does.

Representation

The SMA is the only body in the UK exclusively representing stage management. We can take your concerns to the right people; make your voice heard and give it the weight of your many colleagues. The SMA raises the profile of stage management and the issues that affect you.

Please note that student members must be in full time education (including post-graduate study) or on  recognised apprenticeship and so are not eligible for a Freelist listing .

Who is eligible?

Any student in full time education, or an apprentice on a recognised apprenticeship for technical theatre work.

What do I need to do now?

Fill in the application form below.  You can make payment now, or once we have reviewed your application, we will get in contact with ways to pay.

How much does it cost?

3 month trial: £15  (trial memberships do not include training discounts or access to training support vouchers. One trial membership per member).
Annual membership: £38

Payment is made via the website, after your application has been reviewed. It is possible to pay via BACS or cheque, please contact the SMA Office for details.
